Fairy Dreams

This design is yet another twist on the previous tag design cards, involving stamping onto acetate.  The tag is created using the same techniques as in previous designs, with silhouette stamping and faux bleaching.  The background is created using white card that has been spritzed with a deep blue glimmer mist.  A piece of acetate, slightly thinner than the width of the background panel, is stamped randomly with a swirl using white stazon ink.  The background panel is matted onto mirror card, then the acetate is attached with brads.  The background is then attached to the base card.  Some pretty fibres are added to the tag which is then attached to the card with dimentional glue.

  1. Hi. Just a few questions. How did you colour the tag? Distress inks and then a wet brush to remove the colour on the fairy's skin?? And what make of stamps did you use??? Brilliant, as always xxx

  2. Hi, yes the tag is coloured with a blend of two distress inks. And yes faux bleaching is where an image is stamped on top of distress ink, then the colour is removed from within the image using a paint brush and water, then the image is blotted with kitchen towel. The stamps used were:- fairy by Lavinia Stamps; trailing vine and meadow flowers by Claritystamps; new curls by Printworks; dragonfly by Judikins. Happy stamping xx
