Lazy Days

This is another design that is suitable for male or female, and various occasions.  Once again the background is created with an embossing folder and machine.  A piece of cream card has been coloured around the edges with distress inks. The panel is then embossed, and a few dots of liquid pearls are added to some of the swirls.  Then it is matted and latered twice to emphasize it.  The main focal panel is created from the same card as the background and coloured the same way.  Several stamped images are used to build a picture, which is turned into a tag.  Glitter is added as a highlight to some of the images, the tag is matted and a ribbon added.  The base card is the same cream card used for the panels, and is stamped around the edges to create a border.  A small piece of card is coloured, stamped with leaves, and heat embossed in gold.  They are cut out and added to the card as a final embellishment.

Purple Haze.

This design uses a mix of different mediums to colour and enhance.  The base card is a white shaped card that has been coloured with two complimentary tones of lilac and purple Brilliance ink.  To add extra 'bling' to the background the card was spritzed with a dark purple glimmer mist.  When dry, opposite corners are stamped and heat embossed in silver powder to add interest.  The main focal panel is created from pearlescent card that has been embossed in a machine, the central panel is cut out and the panel mounted onto mirror card which shows through the apperture.  A slim ribbon and bow is attached.  Some vellum is coloured with lilac Brilliance ink, then butterflies are stamped, heat embossed, and cut out.  They are then glittered.  The panel is attached to the base card and a greeting is added.  When dry the butterflies are added to the centre of the card by the body as before.

Sweet 18

This tag card uses a combination of printed and stamped images to create a very pretty 18th card.  A DL card is turned into a tag shape by cutting the top two corners off to make the base card.  Some printed paper (Artilicious CD rom nature) is cut to size, leaving a tiny frame aroung the edge.  The edges of the base card and paper are tinted with Brilliance inks in matching colours.  The flowers are printed from the CD and cut out.  The edges are glittered and when dry layered up with a brad to secure them and form the centres of the flowers.  A tag is punched out of some printed paper and the edges inked. A key is stamped, heat embossed and cut out.  A greeting, a butterfly and some leaves are stamped and heat embossed onto vellum, then cut out.  The butterfly is decorated with glitter and when dry is attached to the card by the body so that the wings can be folded up to create movement.  The greeting is added to the small tag, so is the key and some ribbon.  The background is mounted onto the base card, the larger 3D flowers and the leaves are added and then the finished tag.  A few smaller flowers complete the design.

Leafy Madonna

This card design is a slight twist on the last design, with a more feminine feel to it.  The background and focal panels have been created in the same way as before using different colours.  A couple of 3D flowers have been added, created using the same technique as the flowers on the peaches and green card, and a couple of skeleton leaves to set them off.

Vintage Madonna

This design has a vintage distressed look about it, and is suitable for many different occasions.  The script background panel is created by putting a piece of white card in an embossing folder and through a machine.  The edges of the panel are torn and inked with distress ink to give it an aged look.  The embossed script is also gently inked.  The focal panel is another piece of white card stamped with an image in the distress ink.  Then the whole panel is covered with clear pigment ink and heat embossed with two coats of clear powder, giving a glazed look.  Both pieces of artwork are matted onto black card.  The white base card is stamped with a swirl in the distress ink, the background panel attached then the focal panel offset and attached with dimensional glue.  A tag shape is punched out, stamped with some text and edged with distress ink as before.  A word or greeting is stamped onto a strip of vellum and heat embossed with clear powder.  A punched leaf, a ribbon and the vellum are added to the tag which is then attached to the card.

Peaches and Green

This is a lovely design for a summer occasion.  The background is created by embossing a piece of coloured card in a machine, then distressing the edges with distress ink in a co-ordinating colour.  A couple of 3D flowers have been made out of die cut and paper punch shapes in two contrasting colours.  Some of the shapes were cut from patterned paper, the others from the same coloured card as the background, then stamped with text.  The edges of the petals have been tinted with the distress ink.  A tag has been punched out of the same card as the base card is from.  It has been stamped with the text and with a swirl stamp.  The edges have been distressed with ink and two pieces of co-ordinating ribbon threaded through the top.  A strip of the patterned paper is wrapped around the tag and the card is assembled.

Divine Light

This design can be used for a lot of occasions.  This card is for a wedding, and includes a stamp and a technique by Sheena Douglass.  The background is created using white card that has been embossed through a machine.  The raised pattern is then glittered with multi coloured glitter, three swirls are die cut in the same white card and glittered.  The main focal image is stamped onto white card with Black Soot distress ink, then using a paint brush and water the stamped image has some of the ink smudged to give a watercolour effect.  The rays of light coming through the widow on the left are created by using the brush and water again.  The rays are painted on with water, then blotted off with kitchen towel.  This takes the ink off the paper because distress inks react with water.  Then the rays are painted back in using a pearl white paint to emphasize them.  Both panels are matted and layered onto mirror card and attached to the base card.  The swirl die cuts are added along with a bow and a greeting to complete the design.
