Hi and welcome to my blog :) I am sharing a pretty box that I made as one of my samples for Chocolate Baroque's floral shows last month. I have used the Wish Flower stamp; black gesso, Dyna paints,Aztec paints, Versamark ink, black embossing powder, gold marker pen.
I took a plain wooden box and painted it with black gesso, it only needed one coat.
I stamped and embossed the flowers and words on the top of the box. I then painted the flowers with the acrylic paints and used a gold pen to add dots around the flowers. I love doing this as it gives the project a folk art feel.
I repeated the process with flower heads on the sides. I had the lid down when stamping the images so that the flowers were on both the box and the lid.
I added a piece of die cut foliage which I had painted gold.
When all the flowers were painted I decided to add gold paint around the words to make them stand out.
To complete this project I painted the inside of the box gold.
I really enjoyed painting this lovely box, these beautiful stamps look as gorgeous on home decor projects as they do on cards.
Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope that you have enjoyed this post and that you'll come back soon :)
Absolutely gorgeous Penny, the colours are so vibrant against the black, beautifully desined box, Kate x x

DeletePlaying a bit of catch up-love this box with the rich black highlighting the flowers and the gold. The paints remind me of twinkling H2O's
