Woodland in the Sunset

Hi and welcome to my blog  :)  Today I'm sharing another 15 minute card GDT sample which I created for the Chocolate Baroque DT blog  http://chocolatebaroque.blogspot.co.uk/  I have used a CB stamp set Design a Tree - Woodland,  Distress Inks, Stickles, watercolour inks.

The background is one that I already had in my stash, it's a watercolour wash.   I stamped the bare tree onto the background using black Versafine ink.  I then added leaves using first and second generation stamping.

To 'ground' the tree I used a black fine liner and drew the foreground, then added some scribbles for shade from the tree.

I used a white gel pen to add some light to the centres of the leaf clusters.  I then blended black DI around the edges of the panel and matted it onto black card.  On a white base card I stamped the leaves in similar colours to the background, using DI's and first and second generation stamping again.  I added Stickles to the centres of the leaf clusters and attached the focal panel to the card.

I love this card, it's so cheerful and bright.  Like many crafters I have a lot of background papers that I have made during 'play' sessions, and they are perfect for quick and easy cards that you may need to make in a hurry.  I haven't put a sentiment on this one but it could be used for lots of occasions as well as male or female cards.
Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you have enjoyed this post and will drop by again soon  :)
