Shrooms Galore! and Colourful Orchard

Shrooms Galore

Hello and welcome to my blog  :)  I have a couple of pretty and useful cards to share with you today, both are samples from last month's Chocolate Baroque tv shows.  For the first project I have used stamps from the beautiful Mushroom House, The Toadstool Garden, Mellow Fruitfulness and Tagtastic sets; black Versafine ink, clear and silver EP, Koh-I-Noor paints, pearlescent paints, silver marker pen and some raffia from my stash.

I stamped and embossed the tag onto black card with silver EP and cut it out.  I did the same with one of the 'hole' images.  I then stamped the Mushroom House in black Versafine ink and embossed the image with clear EP.  I used pearlescent paints to colour the image.  On a spare piece of black card I stamped and embossed a sentiment in silver, added silver pen around the edges and attached it to the tag with 3D foam,  On another piece of black card I stamped the cherry branch in black ink and embossed it with clear EP.  I painted the image as before and cut it out before attaching it to the tag.  I then added some red raffia from my stash.

I took a piece of smooth white colouring card and stamped the Toadstool Garden image in black ink.  I painted just the toadstools with watercolour paints then added silver pen around the edges of the panel.  To complete the card I attached the focal panel to a black base card and added the tag beside it.

I really like this design, it is both colourful and cheerful and I think it would suit lot's of occasions and recipients.

Colourful Orchard

For this card I have used stamps from the Mellow Fruitfulness and Artistic Affirmations sets; grey Versafine ink, alcohol markers, red Versafine ink, clear EP, gold pen and a white pen.

I began with a piece of smooth white colouring card and stamped an apple branch in grey ink.  I masked the image then stamped it twice more.  I removed the masking tissue and coloured all the images with my pens, adding light and shade to make the apples appear round and the leaves fresh.  I added highlights with a white pen and a shadow line around the images with a pale grey one.

On another piece of card I stamped the same image three more times, coloured them and cut them out.  I stamped a sentiment in red Versamark ink and embossed it with clear EP, then added a gold pen around the edges of the focal panel and matted it onto red card before attaching it to a white base card.

I attached two of the cut out branches to the top of the card, and one at the bottom next to the sentiment, with 3D foam.

I loved creating this card, not least because it's in my favourite colour!  Also I love colouring, so this design ticked all my boxes!

Bountiful Birthday

Hi there and welcome to my blog  :)  I'm sharing a lovely and simple card with you today, one of my samples for the CB shows on tv last month.  For this project I have used stamps from the Mellow Fruitfulness, Autumn Edges and Birthday Words sets; CB Kraft card,Versamark ink, white EP, and Distress Oxide inks.

I began this project with a piece of Kraft card and I stamped the large Artichoke image with clear ink and embossed it with white EP.  I then did the same with the fruit collection image and a sentement.  I painted the images with DOs then matted the focal panel onto orange paper to make it pop.

I took a cream base card and stamped the fruit and the nut collection images around the edges using Carved Pumpkin DO ink.

I am really pleased with the way this card has turned out, it's quite a simple design but very effective, and the beautiful stamps make it a card that anyone would love to receive.

Thank you very much for taking the time to drop by today, I hope that you have enjoyed this post - feel free to leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!  I hope you'll visit again soon  :)

Magic Mushrooms

Hi there and welcome to my blog  :)  I have a cute little tag to share with you today that was one of my samples for the CB shows in May.  I have used stamps from the Mushroom House, Tagtastic and May Fairy sets; black Versafine ink, clear Versamark ink, gold and clear EPs, Koh-I-Noor paints, a clear Sparkle pen and some ribbon from my stash.

On a piece of white card I stamped the Tagtastic image with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold EP.  I then stamped the Mushroom House image inside the tag in black ink and embossed it with clear EP.  On another piece of white card I stamped and embossed a fairy and a small butterfly then I painted all the images.  I attached the card tag to a greyboard tag and cut around it.  I added clear Sparkle pen to the Fairy's wings then cut out the fairy and butterfly.

I threaded some ribbon from my stash through the top of the tag then added the butterfly and the Fairy with 3D foam.

This lovely tag can be used a variety of ways - it could be a bookmark, a piece of home decor, a keepsake or a topper for a card, and it would suit recipients of all ages.
Thank you so much for popping in today, I hope you've enjoyed this post and that you will visit my blog again soon  :)

Punky Love

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog  :)  I have a bit of Steampunk to share with you today, from the Chocolate Baroque shows last month on tv.  I love Steampunk and I will happily use any excuse to create artwork in this style!  So for this card I have used stamps from the Punky Romance set; Pebeo Dyna acrylic paints, Pearlex paints, Distress Oxide ink, black Vesafine ink, clear embossing powder, copper embossing powder, a stencil, a chain and a metal embellishment from my stash.

I began this project by stamping the butterfly machine image in black ink onto black card and embossed it with clear powder.  I did the same with the clock image and some cogs.  I masked the images and sponged paint all over the panel.  When that was dry I painted the images.

I added gold pen to the edges of the panel and mounted it onto another piece of black card.  I then took a white base card and stamped a few cogs randomly around the edges with DO ink, then used a cog stencil in the corners of the base card.

I attached the focal panel to the base card and then began to make the extra embellishments.  I stamped and embossed the fob watch case lid onto white card using black ink and clear powder.  I then used gold and copper pens to colour it before cutting it out.  I attached a length of metal chain from my stash to the fob watch, coloured it with the pens, then attached the other end of the chain to a metal butterfly from my stash.  I then attached both ends of the chain to the card, via the butterfly to the top of the card, part of the chain also at the top, and the fob watch which hung freely by the watch face on the focal panel.

I used a copper Brilliance ink to stamp the word 'Love' and embossed it with clear powder.  I used a gold pen to add a line around the outside of the word, then cut it out.

I loved creating this one, combining two of my favourite things - Steampunk and Mixed Media!  I loved using the metalic colours and paints too.  I think this card would suit a lot of occasions and recipients, and it would look good in a frame as a piece of home decor.

Autumnal Tag

Hi and welcome to my blog  :)  I have another of my Chocolate Baroque samples from last months shows to share with you today.  I have used stamps from the Acorn House, Tagtastic and Trees a Crowd sets; alcohol pens, Distress Oxide inks, sepia Versafine ink, Versamark ink, Clear and gold EP's, a gold pen, white charcoal, a stencil and some ribbons from my stash.

I began this project by taking some white card and stamping the Tagtastic image in Versamark ink and embossing it with gold EP.  I then stamped a 'tree with hills' image onto the tag twice.  I coloured the trees with alcohol pens, and painted in the sky with watercolour ink, adding some clouds with white charcoal.  On another piece of white card I stamped the Acorn House image in Versamark ink and embossed it with clear EP.  I then coloured it with alcohol pens including the background, then cut around the image leaving a margin all the way around.  I used DO ink to shade the outside edges, stamped and embossed one of the 'hole' images at the top of the tag and punched a hole with my Cropadile.  I then attached the Acorn House to the tag with 3D foam.

I then threaded some Bakers Twine through the hole and tied it once.  I added some ribbon tying it into the twine to complete the tag.

To create the background I took a piece of CB Kraft card and a forest stencil from my stash and used brown DO ink through the stencil.  I then added gold pen around the edges of the panel.  I attached the background panel to a white base card, and added the tag to the card.

Using a spare piece of Kraft card I stamped a sentement in sepia ink, added gold pen to the edges and attached it to the card with 3D foam.

I love the Autumnal feel of this card with the natural colours that I've used.  I think that this is another good worker card, suitable for a lot of occasions and any recipient.
Thank you for popping in today, I hope you have enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed creating it!  Feel free to continue browsing my blog and/or leave me a comment, and I hope you will drop in again soon  :)

Summer Garden

Hello and welcome to my blog  :)  I have a lovely summery card to share with you today, one of my samples from the Chocolate Baroque tv shows last month.  For this project I have used some beautiful stamps from the Garden House and Honey Bee sets; Distress Oxide inks, Versamark Ink, white EP, white Posca pen, CB Kraft card and some Hessian from my stash.

I took a piece of CB Kraft card and stamped the Garden House image, and embossed it with white EP.  I then did the same with the beehive image and a couple of bees and added a sentement, all on the focal panel.  I used DO inks to paint the images and on a spare piece of Kraft card I stamped, embossed and painted the flowers from the Garden House image, then cut them out.  I attached them 3D with foam pads to the focal panel.

I added white pen around the edges of the panel, then attached strips of Hessian to the back of the panel with red liner tape.  I removed some of the threads in the Hessian to create a fringed look.

I then took a cream base card and stamped the honeycombe image randomly around the edges.  Then using red liner tape I attached the focal panel to the base card.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this cheerful card, I think it would suit a lot of occasions and recipients.  These bright sunny colours are sure to be appreciated by anyone recieving this card.
